School Based Groups
With the rise of social emotional needs being identified among students and the demand on school social workers and counselors’ time to address these needs, it can feel like an impossible task. Roots of Resilience offers school based groups to assist school systems with addressing the social and emotional needs of their students. We will work collaboratively with schools to create a topic group or presentation that is tailored to the needs of their students. At St. Catherine of Alexandria School, we have facilitated social emotional presentations centered around forming healthy friendships, assertiveness skills and respectful communication. At Oak Lawn High School, we have facilitated a 6-week Teen Girl Social Group that focused on healthy relationships/friendships, personal growth, assertiveness skills, setting life and personal goals and journey to self-love.
Our therapists are happy to bring our office based groups, presentations or workshops that Roots of Resilience offers to schools so we can assist in addressing the growing social emotional needs of children, adolescents and teens. Contact our office for information regarding our rates.
